The Blue Diamond Club Christmas lunch was held on 7th December at the Seat Unique Stadium, home of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.

Our guests enjoyed a fabulous meal courtesy of the excellent catering and hospitality staff. Our guest of honour was Vaughan Jones, our 1990 promotion winning captain who was his usual entertaining and forthright self in a brief q an a conducted by Chair Tony Mills.

The raffle was held in aid of the Darby Rimmer Foundation, the MND charity that Marcus Stewart is now closely involved with. The amazing sum of £515 was raised for which Marcus and his wife Louise were extremely grateful. Many thanks to everyone who donated raffle prizes and to Alan and Liz Cavill for selling the tickets.

As always at Christmas, Roger Brinsford was instrumental in organising the best rendition of 12 days of Christmas that I have heard at these events. Well done all!

Grateful thanks must go to Mo Bell for organising the lunch. Mo is to take a back seat from the Committee shortly and will be greatly missed. She was presented with a bouquet of flowers in recognition of all of her hard work over the years.

Thanks also go to everyone who has supported these lunches over the years. The Committee look forward to future lunches in 2024.
